a Star to Keep Us Warm

sometimes the sun

pours through the clouds

lighting up ice crystals

so bright they burn like stars

& the edge of warmth falls upon your cheek

speaking of blue sky & soft breezes

                walking through grassy fields pondering

as white puffy clouds meander

into that ancient new day

of spring
